To find a wedding photographer close to you, simply select an option from:

Finding a wedding photographer can be a tricky business so it is important to speak to as many as possible to see what each photographer can offer. With different styles of wedding photography, for example reportage wedding photography, traditional wedding photography, contemporary wedding photography, photojournalistic wedding photography and a mixture of all it is important to know which photography style you require and then find the photographer that will work best for you.

You should also bear in mind your budget when looking for a photographer. Many people are looking for value for money but looking for the cheapest option may not be the best option! You should remember that most professional wedding photographers will spend many hours editing your wedding photographs after your wedding. Therefore, although you may only book them for a few hours on the day, any photography quote will reflect the extra time required in the editing studio. Other items which may also be reflected in the wedding photography quote will be professional print costs, albums, extra prints, copies on CD and possibly the cost to remove the Copyright from the images so you may re-print as required.

Most professional wedding photographers will use their preferred print processors who closely match colours etc. to the original photograph. Therefore, whilst using a professional photographer who does this may seem expensive, the quality of the finished photographs will be of the highest standard. Some couples may prefer to simply hire the wedding photographer for the actual wedding and not include any further expense for editing or printing. In these cases the photographer will photograph the wedding and copy the images to disc, allowing the images to be printed by the client copyright free. If this is your preferred option, you should bear in mind that the printed colours may well not be closely matched to the originals and the equipment may not be of the highest standard meaning lower quality photographs.

As we say, the cheapest option is not always the best option and you really do get what you pay for. Therefore you should seriously consider the benefits of opting for a budget photographer over a professional wedding photographer as these memories will stay with you for life. You should also bear in mind that many photographers will not release the copyright on images taken and you must get permission to reprint in writing prior to any engagement if this is the route you wish to take.
